Maher & Greenwald Fine Gardens is a Landscape Design and Garden Architecture company. We are designers of private residences, public gardens and commercial properties throughout the New York metropolitan area, Fairfield and Westchester Counties as well as the Hudson Valley.
Maher & Greenwald Fine Gardens is a design-build company and we work with our clients in a variety of ways. This includes the installation and development of all aspects of landscape and hardscape -- from drive courts, pools and patios to ponds, perennial gardens, shade and woodland borders, vegetable gardens and even naturalized areas such as bog gardens and wildflower meadows. While we specialize in overall site planning and development we will also do a single garden bed for a client as well as spectacular seasonal plantings and maintenance of your property and gardens over many years.
In our 30 years of practice we have won many awards and received press coverage in a variety of different media. Our work is often toured and has been included in numerous books and Garden directories. Our own gardens at Acorn Cottage in Stamford are toured regularly by Horticultural Societies, Garden Clubs and other groups.
Especially gratifying to us over the years has been the media's coverage of our public and community work, much of which has either helped to set Land Use precedents or helped to define unique ways in which public/private partnerships could work.
